On November 18 (Friday), the KICCE participated in the session of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRC) in the “2022 Korean Joint Conference of Social Policy,” held at the Seoul National University Hoam Faculty House. As a venue for academic institutes researching social policies to gather each year for academic presentations and discussions, this year’s conference was conducted on the topic: “An Age of Rift: Rechallenge of Social Policies.” The KICCE partook in the session of NRC—the institute that cohosted the conference—and conducted a presentation on “Solving the Safety Issue of Kindergartens and Nurseries with Spatial and Smart Technologies.” Senior Research Fellow Kang Eun Jin of the KICCE presented the 2022 cooperative research project conducted with the NRC, “Measures for the Environmental Development of Kindergartens and Nurseries to Prevent Child Abuse: Focused on Spatial Composition and Smart Technologies,” while giving particular focus to the study results. Professor Shin Nary from the Chungbuk National University participated as a speaker.
