KICCE hosted the 1st Korean ECEC Panel Study Conference at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on August 25, 2023 (Friday). The Korean ECEC Panel Study is a longitudinal study that tracks the growth and development of children from prenatal stages to elementary school, considering the complex environment surrounding them and their families. Kim Bung-Nyun, a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry professor from Seoul National University College of Medicine, delivered a keynote speech on "Brain Development and Developmental Tasks Leading from Infancy to Childhood, and the Role of Caregivers". During the topic presentations in Part 2, senior researcher Lee Jeong Rim and Dongguk University Ilsan Hospital Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology professor Kim Hee-Sun presented the results of analyzing data collected in 2021-2022 from the Korean ECEC Panel Study. Subsequent discussions were led by Child Policy Evaluation Center Director Min So-young and Korea Counseling Center for Fertility and Depression Director Anna Choi.
