Public Hearing on the Partial Revision (Draft) of the Standard Childcare Course (for ages 0-2) (Seoul Metropolitan Area, Southern Region)

The Korea Institute of Child Care and Education held a public hearing on September 26th (Thursday) and 27th (Friday), 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the institute. This public hearing was held to gather public opinion on the partial revision of the standard childcare course (for ages 0-2) and was conducted in two locations to collect opinions from various regions: the Seoul metropolitan area and the southern region.

Participants in the discussions included daycare center teachers and directors, parents of infants, experts in early childhood education and child care curriculum, and officials from the kindergarten and daycare system. A wide range of topics were discussed, including the revisions to the general and specific sections of the standard childcare course and the follow-up support needed for its implementation in the field. The public hearing was also streamed live on the Ministry of Education's official YouTube channel.
