KICCE Signs MOU with Ministry of Education and Korea Foundation for Science and Creativity to Promote Science and Creativity Education in Early Childhood Schools

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for Science and Creativity (KOSAC) to support the development and implementation of science and creativity programs for young children. The agreement aims to establish a collaborative framework among the three organizations to jointly develop high-quality, play-based programs that stimulate creativity and imagination during early childhood, and to effectively integrate these programs into the early childhood education setting. The signing ceremony took place at the Government Complex Seoul in Jongno-gu, with key representatives in attendance, including Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho, KICCE President Hwang Ock Kyeung, and KOFAC President Jung Woo-sung. The newly developed specialized programs are scheduled to be piloted in selected early childhood schools starting in 2026, with plans to gradually expand their implementation across institutions nationwide.
