The Korea Institute of Child Care and Education held the 7th KICCE Childcare Policy DATA Colloquium on Wednesday, May 8, 2025, in the main conference room of its headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul. The event was organized by the Big Data Research Team. At the colloquium, Ms. Jeong A Jeon, Deputy Director at Statistics Korea, delivered a lecture on the topic “Overview and Applications of Statistics Korea’s Child and Family Statistical Registry.” The lecture provided a general overview of the statistical registry system, including its conceptual framework, current development status, infrastructure, and usage. In particular, the session focused on the current status of the construction of the Child and Household Statistical Registry, explanations of key variables, and discussions on potential applications.
