On November 18 Thursday, the Korea Institute
of Child Care and Education (KICCE), the Korean Federation of Teachers Unions,
World without Worries about Shadow Education, National Special Teachers Union,
and the National Assembly held a live telecast on YouTube of the 2021 4th Annual
KICCE Policy Seminar under the title "The Future of Early Childhood School
Curriculums." Changhyun Park, KICCE’s head researcher of future education,
hosted the event, and participants in the panel included Myungha Kim, professor
in the Department of Early Childhood Education at Ansan University, Kyeongjin
Lee, a member of the Early Childhood Committee in the Korean Teachers and
Education Workers Union, Ji-hye Yoon, chairman of the National and Public
Kindergarten Teachers Union, Ju-won Lee, director of the Korea Kindergarten
Association, Hyeon-sook Kim, president of the National Association of Special
Teachers for Early Childhood Education, Bok-sun Jang, principal of the Jaeminan
Child Care Center, and Ji-hui Lee, teacher at the Huam Child Care Center. The
panel freely exchanged opinions regarding the curriculum of early childhood
schools.
