On May 20, 2022 (Fri) 3 p.m, Korea Institute of Child Care and Education and the Korea Multicultural Education Association jointly organized the KICCE Panel Session at the Korea Multicultural Education Association International Conference.

Starting with Park Sang-hee's welcoming speech, Professor Jos Nuttall of Australian Catholic University in Australia presented 'Policies and practice to support cultural and linguistic diversity in early childhood education in Australia'. 

Professor Yuko Hayashi of Kobe Shoin Women's University in Japan then presented 'The current situation of ECEC for children from diverse cultural backgrounds in Japan: From the perspective of children's language development'.

Finally, Eunjung Park, a associate research fellow at KICCE, and Moogyeong  Moon, a senior research fellow, presented under the theme of 'Policy measures to empower multicultural parents in supporting their young children's bilingual education’.

Professor Kevin Kien Hoa Chung (The Education University of Hong Kong) and Professor Chunghee Chung (Kyungpook National University) participated as debaters to discuss multicultural education in each country.
