The Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE) held a policy forum on June 7, 2022 (Tue) under the theme of “Safety of Kindergartens and Daycare Centers Using Space and Smart Technology” as part of the cooperative research with National Research Council of Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences titled “Comprehensive Measures for Early Detection and Growth Support of Children with Potential Disabilities in Kindergartens and Daycare Centers (I): Survey Analysis and Development of Early Screening Test”. 




Kang Eun-jin, Senior Research Fellow of this institute presented on the theme of “Differing Thoughts on the Safety of Kindergartens and Child Daycare Centers between Teachers and Parents”, Professor Sung Ji-hyun of Sungkyunkwan University presented on “Safety Environment Standard Development and Case Analysis of Kindergartens and Child Daycare Centers” and Senior Research Fellow Son Ah-young of the Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology on “Enhancement of Parent-Teacher Communication and Safety Detection Through Implementation of Smart Technology”. 



Following the presentations, Choi Yoon-kyung, Senior Research Fellow of this institute led a discussion between Research Fellow Kim Ah-reum (KICCE), Director for Childcare Division Kang Hee-eun (Seoul Metropolitan Government Women & Family Policy Affairs Office), Professor Choi Jeoung-yoon (Incheon National University, Division of Architecture and Urban Design) and Professor Uh Young-jung (Yonsei University, Global Leaders College).
