On November 8, 9:30 a.m., the KICCE held the 3rd “Learning through Play” international webinar with the LEGO Foundation on the topic of “Children’s Accessibility to Play Opportunities.” Senior Research Fellow Moon Mugyeong, the Head of International Research and Data Analysis at KICCE, and Dr. Bo Stjerne Thomsen, the vice president of Learning through Play in the LEGO Foundation, participated as speakers for this international webinar. Senior Research Fellow Moon Mugyeong spoke on the topic of “National Initiatives on Fostering the Culture of Play from the Early Years in Korea: Persisting Challenges and Opportunities” and Dr. Bo Stjerne Thomsen presented on the topic of “Vulnerable Children’s Access to Play.” Professor Alexandra Maria Brentani from the University of São Paulo, Professor Sachiko Nozawa from the University of Tokyo, and Professor Minyi Li from the Beijing Normal University participated as panels and introduced the reality of children’s play from each country’s context and the related issues. After the panel presentation, an open discussion was conducted with all the participants.
