On December 17th (Sat), 2022, the KICCE held in its conference room the 10th KICCE Policy Debate on the topic of ‘Citizens, Parents, and Teachers Talk Early Childhood Education and Childcare Integration!’ KICCE researcher Changhyeon Park gave a presentation on the topic of ‘Citizens, Parents, and Teachers Talk Early Childhood Education and Childcare Integration!’ In his planning intentions, KICCE researcher Changhyeon Park stated “There are numerous arguments in early childhood education and child care integration regarding teacher qualifications and treatment, and training system revisions. I expected the debate to be a meaningful time for kindergarten teachers and daycare teachers to meet together and share frank discussions on key topics of early childhood education and childcare integration.” 

Discussions were carried out in the form of a group meeting between kindergarten and daycare teachers, and discussions were held on the pros and cons of early childhood education and childcare integration, the most worrisome/anticipated points as teachers, the goal and concept of early childhood education and childcare integration, opinions on the revision to a Ministry of Education infant school system, revision measure for a teacher qualification training system, overall opinions on the integration of facilities/laws and administration ･ finances/curriculum, and the future of early childhood education and childcare.
