On February 10th (Fri), 2023, at 1:30 pm, the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education (KICCE) hosted a policy seminar with the Seychelles OECD Institute of Early Childhood and Development (IECD) for policy exchanges on childcare and early childhood education, at its conference room. The seminar was attended by President Sanghee Park of KICCE, Mugyeong Moon, Director of the Office of International Research and Data Analysis, Senior Research Fellow Eun Young Kim, Sook In Cho, Head of International Exchanges and Research Team, and Associate Research Fellow Kyungjin Cho from KICCE, as well as President Shirley Choppy of the Seychelles UNESCO Institute of Early Childhood Development, Vice Chairman Sonia Mancienne of the Board of Directors, Secretary-General Vicky Michel of the Seychelles National Commission for UNESCO and other IECD staff and working level officials including Kwang-hyun Kim, Head of the Office of External Relations and Information of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Center of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU).    


 


At the seminar, the Seychelles UNESCO Institute of Early Childhood and Development expressed its willingness to cooperate with KICCE in the future with regard to such tasks as monitoring of the quality of early childhood education and childcare services, enhancement of teacher education and capacity building, and various promotional activities to improve public awareness of the importance of early childhood. With this opportunity, KICCE and the Seychelles UNESCO Institute of Early Childhood Development are planning to sign an MOU for cooperation and exchanges as well as collaborate for diverse activities.
