On Tuesday, April 18 at 2 p.m. at Conference Room 1 of the Member’s Office Building, KICCE co-hosted a KICCE Childcare Policy Research Ecosystem Network Forum under the theme "What Can We Do About the Communities where Children's Laughter is Disappearing?" in collaboration with Kim Sun-Kyo, member of the National Assembly. KICCE's Research Planning and Evaluation Team leader, Kim Na-Young, gave a presentation titled "Regional Parenting - What's Different and How Can It Be Improved?". Park Tae-Soon, head of the Gwangju Foundation for Women & Family's Population & Employment Policy Team, presented on the topic of "An Analysis of the State of Local Governments’ Childbirth and Parenting Policies by Life Cycle."  Kim In-Kyung, a researcher at the Korea Development Institute, Hwang Ji-Soo, a professor at Seoul National University, Jeon Ji-Hoon, a senior researcher at the ChungNam Institute, and Chung Jung-hee, chairman of KSECE, participated in the discussion, which addressed the importance of emphasizing the local community's role in creating childcare environments as well as active discovery and support of childcare policy initiatives on a local level.
