The KICCE hosted a meeting with the Uzbekistan Republican Scientific-Methodological Center for Development of Education on Thursday, September 14, 2023. The meeting was attended by Moon Mu-gyeong (Director of Office of International Research and Data Analysis, KICCE), Cho Sook-in (Head of International Exchanges and Research Team, KICCE), and Kim Eun-young (Director of Office of Fertility Support and Family Policy Research, KICC). The purpose of the meeting was to exchange information on Korea's early childhood education and childcare policies with Saidjon Tojiboev, who is the manager at the Republican Scientific-Methodological Center for Development of Education, an educational research institute under the President of Uzbekistan. The meeting provided an overview of the operation, curriculum, teacher education, evaluation system, and budget of Korea's early childhood education and childcare system, followed by a question and answer session. The operation of research institutes and the production and management of statistics were also discussed. Through this meeting, it is hoped that both countries enhance the understanding of early childhood education and childcare policies and strengthen mutual cooperation.
